It is the process which re-fills the denture underneath to compensate the bone loss all patients have after loosing they teeth.
The shrinkage of the gums is a physiological process that occurs after loosing teeth and will never stop, the rate and speed of shrinkage varies from patient to patient.
Relines are made every 2-3 years to ensure that the fit and support of the denture is accurate to function correctly. The relines may be done on the dental chair while you wait, or may need laboratory processing which will take longer, may be one day or two.
